Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small community that is located on the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. Many people unfamiliar with the word frequently think that there is a separate island west of Montreal however, the West Island is home to every aspect of the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief visit to the West Island did not last long. Brugel was raised in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. The first goal she had was to dance but a growth spurt led to her growing beyond the dancers she was with. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed her height in heels as 6 foot 1 inches tall. When I grew out of male companions at that point, I gave up. Many former dancers turn to acting and in the case of Brugel it was a suggestion by her teacher in drama. Her teacher invited her to try out for roles in the school's production. She was chosen to play the principal part of Anne of Green Gables after she had a go at. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. In the past 20 years, her work has been featured on both the large and small screen. The most notable was her fame when she was offered the part as Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian actor for the season 1 of the show and was only appeared on occasion.
